Mantra & Meditation - 10.30 AM Onwards

The picturesque, serene beauty of Baltimore downtown with its lush parks and cool breezes from the McKeldin Fountain will form the backdrop for a feast for the senses. Chariot Festival will present attendees with a chance to unwind, rejuvenate and invigorate themselves.

This is the very goal of yoga session. To provide an opportunity for spiritual seekers, yoga enthusiasts, vegans/vegetarians and anyone who is curious about yoga to come out and deepen their understanding of yoga and its physical, mental and spiritual benefits.

The event will be highlighted by numerous free activities such as:

  • Mantra meditation
  • Power-packed chanting and kirtan
  • A non-stop stage program including dance and music
  • An all-you-can-eat, free vegetarian feast, presented by Festival of India
  • A South Asian Bazaar and much more!

Chariot Parade - 12:00 AM Starting from Federal Hill

Ratha Yatra literally means Chariot Festival. Ratha Yatra originated 5,000 years ago in India, on the East Coast state of Orrisa, in a city called Jagannatha Puri. The Festival celebrates Lord Krishna’s return to Vrindaban and is held annually in the months of June-July to honor Lord Jagannatha. Millions of people from around the world descend upon of Jagannath Puri (India) to celebrate this unbelievable festival.

Here in Maryland, we celebrate this unique festival at Baltimore Inner Harbour.

Festival of India - Starting from 2:00 PM @ McKeldin Fountain

Festival of India is where the whole family can indulge in all sorts of cultural and fun activities. This involves Mantra Music featuring local and overseas artists, Drama and Dance, Vegetarian Cuisine, Face Paint Fun, Hare Krishna Food for the Soul etc.
